The home has the facilities to allow young people to have their own kitchen area for independent living. The children and young people will also be involved domestic chores, completing the weekly shopping list and actively learning new skills to become more independent.

The team has been drawn together from a variety of backgrounds and each member is selected for their individual skills and knowledge base. The Hollies has experienced and qualified staff, including Registered Manager and Responsible individual.
A rigorous and carefully planned recruitment process has been developed to ensure that the team is able to support in a positive, pro-active manner. A clear set of benchmarks are in place to monitor and ensure that high levels of care are delivered. There is an on-going training and development programme to make sure staff maintain a high levels of practice expertise
At The Hollies, we have a very clear vision for the young people we care for. Using long established systems of support along with a continuous skills development programme for our team, our target for each young person is to enrich their lives with new skills, provide a renewed sense of wellbeing, to achieve a good level of education and to improve their prospects for the future. Where we have younger children with more complex behaviours, we aim to reach a point where they are able to re-integrate into family life (e.g. long-term stable foster placement).
